Facebook

I've finally joined facebook...I'm still learning and it's addictive.

Home Phone

As of March 15th we will not have a home phone line. We hardly use it and are spending $300 a year for it...bye bye land line.

Treasure Hunter

While we were at Edisto last weekend, Uncle DJ created a treasure map. I'm not sure what Tripp's favorite part was - digging in the sand, eating the sucker or playing with the army men.

Class

I have been lax on the posts this last week. I started my photography class last week and it meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6-8:30. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the choices to make when you take a photograph - shutter speed, film speed, aperture and then adjust all of those based on light. I have a new appreciation for people that do this everyday as a career. Four more classes to go...

Long Weekend at Edisto

It's been an overcast and rainy weekend at the beach...but even the dreariest day is a good one if you are at the beach!

Charleston

DJ and I both love Charleston, SC and would move there in a heartbeat. These are some photos I took the week we were there for Christmas.

Photography

I love to take pictures. Last Christmas I got a new camera and have loved to take photos of Tripp, other family members and landscapes. On Monday I start a photography class to learn some of the basic camera techniques including exposure, composition and depth of field. I hope this helps me learn a little more about what I'm doing. I'm envious of a friend at Moresville that is going to San Fransisco for a week long photography course...she's a professional, I'm not there yet!

I still love my pattern!

Why is it after you get married they come out with new pieces to the pattern you have selected? Aren't these new peices from Lenox's Tin Can Alley so cute. It's white and simple and will go with any kitchen. They have added several new pieces to the line - the snack bowls, square plates, an oval serving platter and a shallow serving bowl...I guess these will go on my Christmas list next year!
